St David's Day Quiz organised by Llanblethian Community Group

Two teams of 6 people, the Dragons and the Daffodillies, took part in a Quiz with six rounds of Welsh themed questions in Llanblethian Village Hall on the evening of March 1st. 

The Daffodillies surprised themselves with their musical knowledge, including being able to identify Ricky Valence as the Welsh Singer of "Tell Laura I Love her", who, we were told, was the first Welsh singer to have a UK hit single, and went into the half time buffet in the lead. The second half did not go so well for the Daffodillies due to their abysmal ignorance of St David, and they were overtaken by the second placed Dragons to finish third overall.

A very enjoyable evening, with a tasty buffet, and the added bonus for four of our band of a raffle prize win.
