Cowbridge u3a provided three of the 20 teams in this event. The original intention was to have teams of four, but not all members were able to attend so we ended up with three teams of three. Our chosen charity was the British Heart Foundation, in memory of Steve Monaghan, a u3a stalwart for many years and amongst many other things a former member of the Quiz Group

Questions asked covered a wide range of subjects, including the burial place of Dylan Thomas, products manufactured in South Wales, flags with Dragons on them, the location of Fort Knox, pictures of historical figures and many more.

At the end of the evening the u3a teams filled three of the top five places. Team "U" was first, and won £250.00 for the British Heart Foundation, and team "A" were third and earned another £50.00

So a very successful evening and a fitting memorial to Steve Monaghan
