Cowbridge u3a Garden Group held its June meeting exploring the parks of Penarth. The morning threatened rain but quickly warmed up resulting in the purchase of two ice-creams by 1045! We visited five parks, most being gifted to Penarth Town Council in the 1920s. Wildflower meadows have definitely taken the place of annual bedding plants and Redwood trees are thriving in Alexandra Park.
