We are a friendly group of walkers meeting on alternate Mondays for a walk of between 3 and 5 miles, generally in the local area, but occasionally a little further afield. We usually go on to a pub or café for lunch. Start time is variable according to the length of the walk, but we normally meet around 10.15 for a 10.30 start.

Most years one of our members will arrange a three day "Away break" for the rest of the group. In 2023 we went to Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire, and in 2024 we went to Pembrokeshire. There will be a repeat visit to Pembrokeshire in 2025. In previous years we have visited the Cotswolds, Wells, Swanage, Sidmouth, Woolacombe, Torquay and many other beautiful places.

Not least because it helps to create a varied programme of walks members are encouraged to take their turn to plan and lead a walk, and make arrangements for lunch for those wishing to partake. However this is not compulsory so please do not let this deter you from joining the group.
