Wednesday Walkers

Our walks are very varied, and may be urban, on the Wales Coastal Path, or around the fields, lanes and woods of the Vale of Glamorgan and adjoining counties. We may be at sea level, or 800ft up on the high ground north of the M4.

Walks are normally between 3 and 5 miles, and after the walk many participants will have lunch in a nearby pub. Some walks will also include a stop at a café or coffee shop if there is one on the route.

Members take turns to lead walks, which helps ensure a wide range of places are visited, as between us we know of many more places than any single member can. Our walks are an excellent way to meet people and explore unfamiliar places.

A warm welcome awaits all new participants. Regular walkers will be expected to be u3a members, but non members are welcome to come on a trial walk as guests.

Mud is always a possibility on our walks; you are advised to wear boots.
