Having received an invitation to participate Cowbridge U3A got together two teams the Dragons (Val M, Val J, Hywel and Fran) and the Wizards (Gwerfyl, Ian, Rob and Syclla).

The format was the same as last year including rounds on music, general knowledge and sport.  Some rounds had a family fortunes type question contributing to scores and of course a joker which the Dragons chose wisely for the Geography round.   Problems with the sound system initially meant a gallop through the rounds.   Our teams had an enjoyable evening helped by a convivial drink and nibbles.

Not the best outing for either of our teams coming in the middle of a field of twenty.   The most important part of the evening were awards of £250, £100 and £50 respectively made to Crisis, Maggies and the Stroke Association charities.
