The cookery workshop group has enjoyed its first year creating new things and old favourites! Designed for members who enjoy cooking, food prep and entertaining and all matters food and drink.
Based on a theme and around the kitchen table members are invited to join in by bringing a food item/kitchen gadget to demo/prep/mix/taste.
Examples may be baked Alaska, salmon mousse, African soup and bread products. Also in depth discussions about technology in the kitchen, pastry making and costings/suppliers. Foods from different cultures. Even a book swap!
Themes may be Vegan plant based food, cooking techniques, working with gelatin , batch cooking. Cake decorating, cheese, peanuts, ginger. Members will enjoy a comparison tasting session on for example exotic fruits, cheesecakesā¦..something else.!
