We meet on an ad hoc basis three or four times a year attending u3a, Village & Charity quizzes. They are fun and enjoyable social events that help support worthwhile causes.
If any U3A members are interested in joining the pool of members who are willing to form teams for ad hoc quizzes please contact Fran and Hywel Davies.

14 April 2025 Porthcawl inter u3a Quiz
The Cowbridge team of Peter and Jean, Val, Gwerfyl, Fran and Hywel came in third following a tie break. Porthcawl came in first with a score of 77 out of 90. Our score was a commendable 70 with a picture round being our most challenging.

16 November 2024 Cowbridge Rotary Charity Quiz
Cowbridge u3a provided three of the 20 teams in this event. Our chosen charity was the British Heart Foundation, in memory of former member Steve Monaghan, and between them the three teams raised £300.00 for the British Heart Foundation.

5 July 2024 Air Cadets Quiz, Cowbridge Town Hall
The latest Quiz event saw a team of Jean, Peter, Val J., Gwerfyl, Fran and Hywel support the local 293 Air Cadet Squadron in their fund raising event held on July 5th in the Town Hall. Our team managed to come halfway in the field hampered by our lack of knowledge about the Air Cadets
