| Venue: | Ramoth Church Hall |

We meet on the second Tuesday evening of each month at 7.30pm in the Maendy Room of Cowbridge United Free Church (Ramoth Church Hall), The Broad Shoard, Cowbridge, to appreciate wine in convivial company.
We normally taste four types of wine, usually about twenty members each meeting. Each member or couple takes it in turns to organise the monthly sessions. They choose the wine or theme for the evening, make the presentation and usually prepare some notes for the members. We are not experts, merely enjoying wine and this group gives us the opportunity to taste and get to know something about different wines that may not be familiar to us.
The relaxed atmosphere allows members to make observation or comments without fear of being ridiculed. In fact, when we have blind tastings, we soon realise just how little we know about wine! The evenings are all about tasting a wide variety of wines, sharing our thoughts and observations and enjoying each other's company.
In December in recent years, we have had a seasonal 'Festive Supper' when we tasted a range of different wines to accompany the food. In addition to the regular monthly meetings, we sometimes hold some special events. We have had guest speakers and we have had several vineyard visits.

August 2025. Wines from small Spanish producers
The August meeting started with Cygnus Brut Rose Organic Cava which used Grenache, and Pinot Noir grapes from Penedès, Catalonia. This brut rosé, made with organic grapes, was sensual and delicate with scents of flowers and fresh fruit. Refreshing and long-lasting.
