St Donat's Castle. The subject of talks on 16th January and 20th November 2025

The History Group has regular talks on historical subjects and also has occasional visits to places of interest. Talks are in the Lesser Hall of Cowbridge Town Hall, unless indicated otherwise. The entrance to the Lesser Hall is via the green door on the east side of the building, opposite the Horse and Groom.

The monthly talks are on a wide range of topics, many with a Welsh flavour. Talks are given by both outside speakers and members of the Group, and last about an hour.

History Group Away Days are arranged on an occasional basis to sites of interest. A report on the visit to Chavenage House in September is in Recent Events below.

Please note: The membership fee for this group covers the cost of speakers and room hire. Visitors are welcome, but will be asked for a small fee (this applies to all non-group members, whether or not they are Cowbridge u3a members).
